Block background videos

1. First, select the option to display a video as the background of your block.
2. Choose to use a video from your Media Library.
3. Select an existing video you have already uploaded into WordPress, OR click/drag-and-drop to upload a video from your computer to use as a background.
4. Add an optional fallback image ('poster' image) to display if the video cannot be loaded.

Videos in MP4 format are supported. If you have a video in another format, consider converting it to MP4 format on your computer before upload, or try uploading the file to a service like YouTube or Vimeo and use the alternate method explained below.

3. Paste the URL address of a video from YouTube or Vimeo into the box.

If you would like your YouTube video to autoplay, loop, or other features, you can add parameters to the end of your video URL address, including:

To add parameters to your address, begin with a ? question mark after the video address. Then, put & ampersands between each parameter. Here is an example which uses autoplay and loop for a video: https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ?autoplay=1&loop=1&playlist=dQw4w9WgXcQ

If you would like your Vimeo video to autoplay or loop, you can add parameters to the end of your video URL address, including:

To add parameters to your address, begin with a ? question mark after the video address. Then, put & ampersands between each parameter. Here is an example which uses autoplay and loop for a video: https://vimeo.com/198698130?autoplay=1&loop=1 Simply paste your video address with the parameters you need and the widget will apply your settings.
